NVIDIA versions are already being prepared laptops his Ada Lovalve generation graphs, so the alleged properties RTX 4080 focused on the given segment. According to a performance test that can be found in the Geekbench 5 database, it could be 20% faster than the RTX 3080 Ti.

The existence of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 for notebooks has been confirmed thanks to the upcoming Acer Predator PH16-71 notebook, which adds an Intel Core i9-13900HX Raptor Lake-HX processor with 24 cores and 32 threads and 32 GB of DDR5 memory to the said graphics. . In case anyone was surprised, Predator is a line of products for playing games from Acer, so it’s logical to find high-end features, and it can also be an attractive product for certain professional industries.

The aim of the RTX 4080 for notebooks is to use AD104 GPU running at 2.01GHz along with 12GB of GDDR6 memory, 192-bit interface and 58 compute units or Stream Multiprocessors (SM) with 7,424 CUDA cores. In terms of simple precision computing power, it would offer a total of 29.7 FLOPs. According to a result published on Geekbench, the Predator PH16-71 notebook returned a score of 178,038 with OpenCL, a framework from the Khronos Group that offers an interface for parallel computing and competes with NVIDIA’s CUDA.

In terms of comparison, the RTX 4080 tries to offer a 20% better performance than RTX 3080 Ti and 29% better performance than RTX 3080 notebook version. These possible figures are not bad if we take into account the type of product and the market it is aimed at, although aspects such as the construction of the notebook and the implemented dispersion systems can influence here.

The Acer Predator PH16-71 laptop will be presented at the next CES 2023 fair, which will be held shortly in the American city of Las Vegas. If the circulating data is confirmed, NVIDIA will repeat the success it has already achieved with the desktop series on laptops, which is to provide a more than tangible improvement for users. Unless Intel and/or AMD pull off a miracle, the green giant will comfortably maintain its lead in the dedicated GPU segment until 2023.
