Automakers Hyundai Motor Co., BMW Korea, Stellantis Korea, Volkswagen Group Korea and Daimler Trucks Korea are recalling about 8,500 vehicles in South Korea for faulty parts.

Companies will recall 8,482 vehicles of 15 different models, according to the country’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Issues leading up to the recall include battery-related software issues in the BMW i4 eDrive40, a malfunctioning alternator in the Genesis GV70 SUV, and a malfunctioning anti-lock braking system in a Stellantis-imported Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV.
The ministry also added that the owners of these vehicles can visit the companies’ special repair and service centers for free parts replacement.
As reported by Ukrinform, multinational company Stellantis is recalling more than 1.4 million Ram pickup trucks due to a technical malfunction in the cars.
