Municipality of BUCA has added a new one to its efforts to become a digital city. An area of ​​a thousand kilometers covering the city center and the village area was rendered in 360 degrees with a specially equipped vehicle and began to be transferred to the digital environment. Thanks to the system, which makes it possible to visit all the city streets in 3D via the municipality’s website, all the operations that are the subject of the complaint, in particular infrastructural investment works and illegal construction, will be carried out via the computer, and a significant savings will be achieved.

Buca Mayor Erhan Kılıç examined the 360-degree imaging works on site. Kılıç recalled that they will implement the geographic information systems project in a short time, saying that thanks to the system that will work in harmony with e-government. He said they will solve social, economic and environmental problems faster and more effectively. Kılıç stated that 360-degree panoramic imaging shooting was also performed as part of this project.

WHAT MUST WE DO

With the system that the municipality of Buca will implement in the coming months, all avenues and streets of Buca can be viewed 360 degrees. Citizens can visit every street in 3D on the municipality’s website. The municipality, on the other hand, can easily determine the occupancy rate, advertising and signage measurements, illegal building decrees, real estate valuation processes and status determinations for construction and demolition work via the computer, without leaving the field. Significant budget savings are thus achieved in many areas, in particular on fuel costs.
