Samsung has announced a new gaming monitor equipped with the operating system. This was reported by Notebookcheck.
The Odyssey Neo G7 device received a 43-inch 4K Mini LED display with a frequency of 144 hertz. A distinctive feature of the device is the presence of its own operating system. In this way, consumers can use some functions of the monitor without connecting to a computer.
According to company representatives, the new option will allow streaming services with movies and games to be launched autonomously on the monitor. Yes, you can connect to Xbox Game Pass and Nvidia GeForce Now game services with the help of Samsung Gaming Hub. The company stated that the Odyssey Neo G7 will work with online cinemas Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus and Apple TV without a computer – only an Internet connection is required.
The new monitor also received a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:9, brightness of up to 600 nits and two 20-watt speakers. The device has two HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.0 Type-A connectors and one DisplayPort 1.4 port. The price of the Odyssey Neo G7 in South Korea was $1.25 million.
