Samsung’s new smart refrigerator from the “Family Hub Plus Smart” series, which the company will exhibit at the CES in Las Vegas, will stand out not only for its cooling performance, but also for its huge touch screen with 32 incheslarger than the average size of monitors installed for computers.
The “smart” category has expanded to include any device, from the smallest wearable devices to large household appliances, which today, as a digital center and in addition to managing their operation, can manage the home automation section and offer functions for additional purchases, entertainment or access to Internet services.
For better interaction, Samsung included touch screens in its high-end refrigerators a few years ago. As far as we are concerned, it is the largest the manufacturer has ever installed in its large appliances. It has a diagonal of 32 inches, Full HD resolution and occupies almost the entire right door of the refrigerator. It is placed vertically for easy navigation of its interface.
Samsung’s new smart fridge works as a hub SmartThings with the ability to control lights, blinds, switches, motion detection sensors or other home automation components that the user has connected. Enables intelligent assistant functions that are in charge alexa from Amazon and is compatible with the service Your essentials from Amazon, which allows users to automate grocery shopping from the screen.
It also includes a free service Samsung TV Plus, which offers around 190 TV channels in the United States and supports a large number of applications, including streaming video, music or news services, accessing social networks or even Android games. Samsung even mentioned a new Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode in the press release, so the user can read a recipe on the screen while playing a YouTube video in a floating window.
Users can access and play photos and videos from a shared Google Photos folder, or upload images and display them as a collage through the companion “Bespoke Atelier” app. By having it, it even has integration with cloud storage services like OneDrive. And if you get bored, you should know that the developer has installed the Xbox Game Pass app to play great games like Doom Eternal on xCloud on the screen of these Samsung refrigerators.
No price has been given, but it won’t be an economy series as price is being talked about $3,200. In addition to all of the above, we imagine it will keep the beer very cold…
