Apple refused to manufacture a new device

Apple has canceled production of the 14.1-inch iPad Pro, which is scheduled for release in 2023. This was reported by the Macrumors portal, citing insider and analyst Ross Young.

According to the first leaks, Apple was developing an iPad Pro with a mini LED display with a diagonal of 14.1 inches. For the first time, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman mentioned the existence of such a tablet, and later this information was confirmed by Yang. Now the latter said that the company has changed its mind and canceled or postponed the release of the tablet for unknown reasons.

Apple’s current lineup includes the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros based on the M1 and M2 chips. Thus, if the Cupertino company released an iPad Pro with a 14.1-inch screen, it would be the company’s largest tablet.

Apparently, one of the reasons for the cancellation of the release of the device is the rapid transition of Apple tablets from mini-LED screens to OLED matrix, and the big iPad in the future will appear with a new type of display.
