Resident Evil 4, a remake of cult horror with survival elements, is in its final stages. This was reported by the Twisted Voxel portal, citing a short interview with the project’s producer, Eshiaki Hirabayashi, with Japanese publication Famitsu.

Hirabayashi talked about the status of the Resident Evil 4 remake when asked about his 2023 plans. The developer noted that the team will share new information about the game with the media in the near future, adding that it is in the final stages of development. The Japanese also said they want to buy a portable Steam Deck console in 2023 and hone their skills as a pioneer.

Based on Hirabayashi’s response, Twisted Voxel predicted that development of an updated version of Resident Evil 4 is progressing according to plan and that nothing will prevent it from releasing on the most likely scheduled date of March 24, 2023.
