US cybersecurity officials in the US, Australia, New Zealand and the UK are warning of an increase in the number of Russian-backed hackers both in Ukraine and abroad. This was reported on the website of the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Agency (CISA).
They produced a Cybersecurity Handbook that provides an overview of Russia’s cyber threats and cybercrime groups and urges critical infrastructure defenders to strengthen their cybersecurity.
“We have repeatedly emphasized that Russian hacker attacks pose a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to other countries. Now this threat has become apparent, it is said by government agencies in various countries that Russian hackers will not be limited to Ukraine. Yuri Shchigol, head of the State Special Service, said, “All “We need to strengthen cooperation at the state level to ensure the cyber resilience of the civilized world.”
He added that Ukraine has extensive experience in combating Russian cybercriminals and is ready to share this experience with partners. Instead, our country expects the full support of other states to oppose the aggressor in cyberspace. Source
