Ukrainian satellite PolyITAN-HP-30 was successfully launched on January 3, 2023, at 16:55 Kyiv time, from Cape Canaveral with a Falcon-9 rocket. Scientific leader of the project PolyITAN-HP-30 – NN IATE senior fellow, Ph.D. BM Rassamakin.
In particular, it is known that there is an experimental heat pipe on the satellite, which is part of the thermoregulation system of spacecraft. Such a system is essential for every spacecraft to remove heat from electronics to prevent them from failing. A scientific experiment will be conducted on the satellite to investigate the effectiveness of heat pipes, which are the main element of the thermal stabilization systems of spacecraft.
In addition, launching PolyITAN-HP-30 into orbit allows KPI scientists to achieve the performance characteristics of heat pipes in microgravity conditions. They will also be able to identify potential flaws and advantages in the process of creating more heat pipes for various spacecraft.
