Microsoft continues to take steps in its plan to integrate AI models into its browser. Last October, we heard about Image Creator from Microsoft Bing, which is DALL-E 2’s integration with the search engine. The $1,000 million investment in OpenAI goes hand in hand with this type of integration, and ChatGPT will be the next.

A surprisingly smart search

Microsoft is preparing to integrate ChatGPT into Bing search. The company expects it first version can be launched before March, thus envisioning possible Google plans with Chrome. It will be the next big step after DALL-E 2’s integration with Bing.

The operation of ChatGPT within Bing will be similar to what we would expect from this type of AI in a search engine. Your job will be to provide AI-powered answers with ChatGPT-known sources like link lists, search-related keyword suggestions, and more. Microsoft wants the answer to continue to be given by the Bing engine and that AI is a boost, as ChatGPT is not intended to offer real-time tracked information from web pages.

ChatGPT’s integration with Bing will force them to improve the accuracy of their answers, Microsoft also response speed. A search engine doesn’t require browsing the entire dataset for every query made (that’s what indexing algorithms are for), while AI models work by analyzing the data they’re trained on.

ChatGPT is expected to earn US$1 billion by 2024 and we will see more and more application of this AI in almost everything. It can already respond to tweets, Canva has integrated it into its AI authoring tool, has programming capability and its next big breakthrough will be search engine integration.
