Yesterday, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 11 flagship smartphone with a starting price of 3,999 yuan ($580) in China. The global presentation of the device is scheduled for February 7. The OnePlus 11 is currently up for pre-order in China and will go on sale for the first time on January 9. OnePlus China president Li Jie started talking to OnePlus fans when the device was made available for pre-order.

In a post on Weibo, Li Jie shared that the OnePlus 11 achieved the fastest sales record in the company’s history in just two hours. The OnePlus China president also shared a few words of thanks for the brand’s customers and fans.

However, the most interesting information of this post is hidden in the comments section. One Weibo user commented on the post that it would be tempting to buy the OP11 if it wasn’t for the Pro model. In response, Li Jie stated that it has replaced the OP11 and not the OnePlus 11 Pro.

This statement is in line with previous reports that OnePlus will not be releasing the Pro model of its flagship series this year. Considering that the company launched the OnePlus 10 Pro last year without releasing a vanilla variant, this tactic is nothing new for the company.
