At the Consumer Electronic Show 2023 (CES 2023), Acer company introduced an extraordinary exercise bike that allows you to do sports and work at the computer at the same time. This was reported by The Verge.
The innovation is called eKinekt BD 3. This is an exercise bike in which the classic saddle and lever with control panel are replaced by a chair and a table for a laptop, respectively. So you can use the indoor bike directly while working out. A glass holder and a hook for a purse or backpack are also placed on the table.
Standard USB Type-A and USB Type-C connectors allow you to charge a computer or other device. It is noteworthy that electricity can be generated for these purposes with a dynamo machine placed in the bicycle part of eKinekt BD 3, which can generate power up to 75 W at a pedal speed of 60 revolutions per second.
The unusual exercise bike will go on sale in the summer of 2023. Acer is asking $999 for the new product.
