Ukrainian IT Army hacked the websites of Russian cities and published Zelensky’s New Year’s greetings

The Ukrainian Informatics Army is a volunteer corps of hackers and other computer experts engaged in countering Russian aggression in cyberspace. The group conducts regular cyberattacks on the enemy’s resources, impeding the flow of money, destabilizing the operation of services important to the enemy, and disseminating information about the war in Ukraine.

Who was hacked?

We tried to make the new year address of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi visible on the official websites of the provinces, districts, districts and settlements of Russia,
– wrote hackers.

Judging by the post, the list included:

  • administration of the Losyno-Petrovsky city district;
  • Administration of the city of Kemerovo;
  • Klintsovsky district administration;
  • administration of the Krasnoarmy district of the Samara region;
  • administration of the Leninsk-Kuznetsky District;
  • Pervomaiske Settlement Administration;
  • Management of the Kyiv settlement and others.

We will remind you that recently the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov gave some details about the so-called “book of executioners”, an archive containing data from Russian soldiers who killed and tortured Ukrainians. It is also recruited by the IT Army to aid decision making on the battlefield and ultimately hold everyone involved accountable.
