The Ukrainian EOS SAT-1 satellite, launched from the US cosmodrome on January 3, from the agriculture-focused group EOS Data Analytics, was contacted, confirming that its work in orbit has begun.

“The launch of the satellite occurred as part of the SpaceX Transporter-6 mission, and its delivery to low Earth orbit was carried out by a Falcon 9 rocket from the US Space Force base in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The device was built and equipped with two high-precision DragonEye cameras from Ukrainian-South African space optics manufacturer Dragonfly Aerospace, the satellite engine was developed by the Ukrainian company Space Electric Thruster Systems, and the Flight Control Propulsion company provided 3D printing of the parts. and manufacture of body elements.

EOS SAT-1 will monitor up to one million square kilometers of area every day.

The launch of all EOS SAT satellites is scheduled to be completed by 2025. After that, EOS SAT will monitor areas of up to 12 million square kilometers per day and will cover up to 100% of the countries with the largest agricultural land and forest area, accounting for 98.5% of such land on the entire planet. With the help of EOS SAT, representatives of the agricultural sector will be able to: control the cultivation of crops, optimize the use of resources, control the effectiveness of new crop protection products and fertilizers, etc.

EOS Data Analytics was founded in 2016 by space technologies entrepreneur Maksym Polyakov.
