LineageOS 20 with Android 13 released for dozens of devices

O Lineage OS 20latest version of user operating system based on android 13, is now officially available for dozens of supported smartphones. Maintained by the community, LineageOS is the successor to CyanogenMod and is constantly updated. LineageOS is a good alternative for updating smartphones that are no longer supported by manufacturers.

Beyond content security fixes from April to December 2022LineageOS 20 fixes bugs, updates Web View to version 108.0.5359.79adds a new volume bar to Android 13, brings several improvements and fixes to the Jelly browser, adds an updated Recorder app with new features, and a new default camera app called opening.

According to the developers, the new Aperture app for LineageOS 20 uses Camera APIXwhich promises to make Android app development easier and offers support for additional cameras (maintainers must be enabled), support for video frame rate control, support for full control over settings EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and more.
