We left 2022 behind just a few days ago, and I think it’s a good time to take stock of the best and worst things that year left us. In this article we want to focus on something very specific, What game released in 2022 disappointed you the most?. The mind is free, that is, you can motivate your choice in any way, even if it is not essential that you prolong yourself.
As always, I get wet first. The truth is that 2022 was a year that was packed with great games, although it is also true that we witnessed the launch of more than one game that failed to live up to the expectations it created. Personally, I have two clear candidates: Callisto Protocol and Gotham Knights are both triple-A games that generated a lot of interest but ultimately fell short of expectations.
Gotham Knights is a game that in some ways seems to be half cooked. Its graphic quality is not amazing, in general it is clearly surpassed by its predecessor Batman Arkham Knight, and in terms of optimization it is probably the worst triple A to come to PC in 2022. This is all very well, but the problem is with the Callisto protocol also achieved merit considered by all accounts to be the most disappointing game of 2022.
Both games arrived with stuttering issues and very poor optimization. The Callisto Protocol It has a good graphic part, but it is very linear and very simple, is limited to enclosed spaces and the fight ends in replay. Gotham Knights has a more open approach, but it is not fully utilized, the gameplay also does not shine, the city is soulless and Not a franchise worthy title.
Perhaps for some the Callisto protocol should be chosen as the biggest disappointment of 2022 for all the hype it received at the time, but Gotham Knight has made “more merit” in this regard and is a title that is definitely not worth buying for the shortcomings it has at all levels. Now it’s your turn, which game disappointed you the most in 2022? Read in the comments.
