It was known that Samsung was trying to get a place in Apple’s supply chain for the M2 processor. This is an unreleased branded chipset of the “apple” company, which will be used in their new computer.
Samsung played an important role in bringing the previous Apple M1 chipset to market. The company supplied the Apple FC-BGA (full chip ball grid array) substrates used for in-circuit processors and high-density GPUs.
According to industry observers, Samsung is now trying to secure its role as FC-BGA supplier for the Apple M2 chip.
The South Korean company itself has not yet made an official statement on this matter. But in December, FC-BGA invested $1.3 trillion in the construction of production facilities in Vietnam and an additional $300 billion in an existing factory in Korea.
