Acer expands product line Chrome OS with new Acer Chromebox CXI5 and Chromebox Enterprise CXI5. The company also announces Acer 24 add-onuniversal modular alternative consisting of Acer Chromebox CXI5 or Acer Chromebox Enterprise CXI5 and a 24″ FHD docking monitor.

The company hopes to provide Chromeboxes, which are mini PCs similar to Intel NUCs, as an alternative for companies looking to purchase compact desktops. “These new ChromeOS-based systems from Acer are designed for businesses that need PCs that are easy to set up, use and manage, and that work best in tight spaces.“, says Geoff Lee, General Manager, Desktop, Acer IT Products.

Acer Chromebox CXI5 and Acer Chromebox Enterprise CXI5

The kit is designed for office workers and meetings. It features a 115-degree wide-angle 5MP webcam, dual microphones, and dual 4-watt speakers that deliver quality audio and video for meetings. With multiple AI noise reduction modes that suppress background noise to deliver clear sound even in the busiest places. Accompanying a webcam with a built-in camera shutter to prevent accidental image capture.
