Twitter is launching three new features soon

It’s a relief, believe it or not, to be able to talk about Twitter by reporting on the service and not the erratic decisions of its new owner, Elon Musk. This coming October will mark 15 years since I created my first account on the service in October 2008, and although I’m feeling increasingly jaded when it comes to social media (as is becoming the case with the vast majority of people, I don’t consider myself at this point strange), I won’t deny that regardless of the rest, it’s been what I’ve found most interesting in terms of its mechanics for a long time.
Something we can’t deny Musk, whether we like him or hate him (in my case, I already made my opinion clear the moment he decided to censor a few journalists), is his desire to innovate, to step on the gas in terms of adding new features, as well like improving the existing ones and yes, in many cases also removing the ones that you think should not stay on the social network for whatever reason. Twitter is moving at lightning speed in this regard, something that only happened with the previous management team during its last year at the helm.
Moreover, thanks to his “management style” (in other words, his ego the size of a supermassive black hole), we are already used to him being the one, through his personal account, to the jobs that are constantly being carried out (or those that will start shortly, because they are the ideas that just occurred to you). Who needs a leaker when the company’s CEO himself is in charge of revealing so much early information about news?
So, if we compile some of his latest news in this regard, we will find three changes that will soon arrive on Twitter, one of which will mark a significant change in the model that the social network has followed until now. A change that I understand is being requested by quite a few users, but which I believe represents a definitive resignation by Twitter of what has been central to its identity since day one.
I’m talking, of course, about the maximum length of tweets. As you recall, for the first few years they were limited to 140 characters (the good old days), a limit that was doubled to 280 in September 2017. At the time, it seemed like a huge leap, but now it’s fading as Musk already confirmed a few weeks ago and is now expected to happen in early February, the character limit per message will be increased to 4,000.
Another news that Musk also spread through his account is a interface change to make saving tweets easier. It’s not that it’s particularly difficult today, really, just click “Share” and a save function will appear in the menu. However, with this change to Twitter’s interface, a save button will appear on every tweet, so there’s no need to download the menu anymore.
and one more he announced today Also, Musk, in the same message in which he confirmed the arrival of the previous news, states that his interface will now allow you to switch between recommended tweets and tweets from followed accounts using scroll left and righta touch control system popularized by contact apps and gaining a lot of popularity for some time now.
