The American company SpaceX launched the Falcon 9 rocket with 40 broadband satellites of its rival communications company OneWeb.

The launch took place from Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 11:50 PM EST on Monday (6:50 PM Kyiv time).
The company said the first reusable stage of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle has landed at Landing Zone 1 at the Cape Canaveral Space Center.
Later SpaceX approvedsatellites were deployed.
As Ukrinform reports, SpaceX launched 40 OneWeb satellites into orbit for the first time in early December.
OneWeb is building a network of 648 satellites that will provide Internet services to customers around the world. The London-based company has already launched 502 satellites using Russian Soyuz rockets, mostly operated by the French company Arianespace.
After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, OneWeb signed launch agreements with SpaceX and NewSpace India Limited, the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation.
