ASROCK NUC BOX is a new series of mini-PCs developed by the manufacturer with the latest Intel processors. Compact, powerful and well connectedthey can be a good choice due to their ability to place them anywhere on the table, on the wall or behind the monitor thanks to VESA support.

Intel unveiled the new generation of Raptor Lake Mobile processors at CES 2023 last week, and at the same trade show we already had the announcement of several laptops using them. These types of processors, especially the low-power variants that require less heat dissipation, are also a good choice for mini PCs, and here’s a sample.

ASROCK NUC BOXes have relatively limited dimensions 110 x 117.5 x 38 mm. and a weight of 1 kg. It will be sold in two main configurations with Intel Core i5-1340P processors and Intel Core i5-1340P processors Core i7-1360P with 14 cores and 20 threads that can run at frequencies of up to 5.2 GHz and have a 20 Mbyte L3 cache.

Both feature integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and enough video outputs to support up to four simultaneous displays. They can equip up to 64 GB DDR5-4800 memory and for storage they have a connector for connecting M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD drives and SATA 3 for additional storage.

Yours connectivity Despite its size, it is quite complete and has a large number of ports distributed on the front and back:

  • 1 x USB4 – DisplayPort 2.1 (front)
  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (front)
  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (front)
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio (front)
  • 1 x HDMI 2.0b (rear)
  • 1 x DisplayPort 1.4a (rear)
  • 2 x 2.5 GbE Ethernet (rear)
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (rear)
  • 1 x DC power input (rear)

The audio system is covered by a Realtek ALC256 chip and a 19V/90W power source. No price has been provided for these mini PCs with the most advanced notebook processors. We’ll see more soon, including Intel’s own NUCs.
