Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones will use the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and the South Korean vendor will speed up the chip, which will reduce the performance of the device from a single charge. This has been reported by 9to5Google.

According to sources, this is because Samsung will be personally engaged in the manufacture and installation of chips for gadgets. In the past, Samsung selected Qualcomm chips only for certain countries such as South Korea and the USA, and used its own Exynos chips for the European market.

The Geekbench service states that the new chip has already been detected in the basic Galaxy S23. At the same time, journalists pointed out that there is a potential downside to chip production at the Samsung factory.
