Globoplay will provide Roku Express to premium plan subscribers…

The gift will be available from December 14 to December 23, 2022.

The company has to market strongly, targeting all audiences, with 11 different sizes, from 24 to 75 inches. The entry-level 24-inch model will cost $119 (about R$640) in the US market. The most expensive Roku TV model will be 75 inches and will cost $999 (roughly R$5,300). Of course, all of these Roku TVs will feature the trademarked Roku OS and user interface.

Despite the upcoming launch, Roku hasn’t revealed the specs of the new devices. But some details could be seen during CES. The Select line will be HD and will be remote controlled by voice command. The Plus lineup will feature 4K resolution and a Pro version of the voice control remote.

All Roku TVs come with an expanded audio ecosystem through integration with the company’s wireless audio equipment, and include Roku features such as Find My Remote, Private Listening, and a full suite of streaming content.

Roku TVs are expected to compete directly with other low-cost brands such as Toshiba, TCL and AOC. However, it shouldn’t face a big market with LG and Samsung.

Netflix is reportedly in talks to buy Roku

Following a new report, there are rumors that Netflix will be in talks to buy the Roku platform. Competing as rivals in an ever-expanding market, the two streaming-focused companies will face significant losses in subscribers and inventory.

Netflix, for example, has shown a drop in the number of subscribers to the service due to various increases associated with plans, in addition to an aggravating factor related to account sharing issues. In the case of Roku, a company that specializes in devices that give access to movies and TV shows from major free and pay channels, stocks have experienced a significant drop.

Continuation after commercial

According to Business Insider, the entire unfavorable situation will make the streaming giant interested in acquiring Roku. The report also notes that Netflix will look for a new way to grow and diversify its revenue streams without relying solely on subscriber growth on its streaming platform.
