Stardew Valley 1.5 is finally coming to Android and iOS

It seems like yesterday when Eric Barone, better known as ConcernedApe, released the Stardew Valley 1.5 update in December 2020, one of the most ambitious in the entire history of the game, but at the same time it marked his “farewell” to it. In case you don’t know the story, Stardew Valley is one of those projects that was done by a single person from start to finish, and in this case, Barone was exceptionally involved with the game, providing free tweaks and updates for years. a game that has been essential since its launch.

As I said, version 1.5 was the last major update for Stardew Valley, which Varone has been exclusively dedicated to for years, and it wasn’t until October 2021 that we learned of his next and as yet unreleased project, Haunted Chocolatier, a proposal that from what has been seen so far , retains the iconic elements of Stardew Valley, but of course also aims to provide its own elements that set it apart from the title that brought it worldwide fame.

Although I said that Barone said goodbye to Stardew Valley at the end of 2020, the truth is that part of the gaming community still did not pay the debt, because this update only made it to the desktop version of the game, which has also received several minor updates since then (no content, such as 1.5). Android and iOS users who also received this release at the end of 2020 lost part of the game.

That has thankfully changed, and that’s the Barone, through your Twitter account, announced the shipping of Stardew Valley 1.5 to the Android and iOS stores a few days ago, and now this version is already available for both platforms. In the case of the Apple version, I have personally verified it and it is already available for update, and although I have not been able to verify it in the case of Android, I have found quite a few third-party references that also claim that it has already been downloaded.

This update significantly extended the life of the game, which until then could be ended (referring to its main plot) by completing the community center (I won’t explain what this is for those who haven’t played it, but want to). New characters, items, locations, plots are added… it’s probably the biggest of all the updates that have come out for the game in its entire history.

Android users, yes, will see that the game has to perform a file transfer operation. Barone himself reports this, saying that it is due to changes in the operating system itself. It is of course a completely safe operation and that it will only need to be done the first time you open Stardew Valley 1.5 on Android.
