The video game industry seems to have no ceiling and more users are added every year. And also more income for the manufacturers involved Playing as a promotional center for its products, be it consoles, PCs, components or peripherals. Of course, the games themselves are the most important thing in this business and we wish you a great year for announced news.

The 12 video games we’re most looking forward to in 2013

2022 has been quite a good year for the industry and we have had many releases to look forward to. But the huge complexity in developing big titles and commercial interests have held some of them back. Plus, the new batch we met at the last big video game event of the year, The Game AwardsThey added a few more to the list that the truth is explosive.

We will leave some of them to you subjective choice because it is impossible – at this moment – to talk about better and worse and also about colors for taste. We’ve sorted them alphabetically and we’ve already read your opinion in the comments, if you’re going to them or if you have another one in mind that you’re looking forward to.

1.- Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon

From Software won – deservedly so, in our opinion – the top prize in 2022 with Elden Ring, which is why it’s one of the studios to follow. By 2023, it will return to its roots, but not with a soul-like title, but with an action game in which players will ride and pilot their own robot. From what we know so far and have seen the trailer, it will be an action mecha, mostly single player, but the main role will be the story. Publisher Bandai Namco announced that the game will be released sometime in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

2.- Assassin’s Creed Mirage

A new installment in the Ubisoft action-adventure video game saga. If we haven’t lost count, this will be the thirteenth main installment of the franchise, one of the longest-lived in the industry, since if we count the spin-offs, we can go to two dozen in total. The game will be released after the completion of the trilogy of the Viking world of Valhalla, Origins in Egypt and Odyssey in Greece. Mirage will take place in the 9th century in the city of Baghdad and will put us in the shoes of a cunning street thief. According to Ubisoft, the new installment will “pay homage to the roots of the series”, so we can expect more stealth, more assassinations and more parkour, and less role-playing elements than those heavily incorporated from Origins. It will be available in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Amazon Luna.

3.- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

With the original Avatar becoming the highest-grossing title of all time, and the second installment, “The Sense of Water,” also bringing in the big bucks, it was clear that triple-A development was underway. It will be a first-person action-adventure with a story independent of that of the films, but traveling through the open-world Pandora ecosystem. It’s being developed by Massive Entertainment, one of the many studios Ubisoft has, and has a release schedule for PC and consoles that’s too long for our liking: between April 2023 and March 2024. We’ll settle for next Christmas.

4.- Baldur’s Gate 3

The oldest of the place will remember the premiere of the saga at the end of the 20th century. Bioware (big time, much more prestigious than now) created a work of art that revived the genre of computer role-playing games. Now and within the fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D) developer Larian Studios, known for the good feelings it left behind with Divinity: Original Sin, set to work to reintroduce the mythic saga for those of us who enjoy the RPG genre. It has been in early access for over two years now with availability on Steam. I personally played what came and really liked it. We’ll let you know if the August 2023 PC Windows and macOS launch dates and announcements are finally met.

5.- Diablo IV

Bigger and meaner than ever, there’s little we can say that we haven’t already told you about this game that’s loved by many in our editorial staff. An action RPG in a big way, we hope to be able to mercilessly kill all kinds of enemies, epic boss battles, high fantasy character design, the ability to share everything with our battle partners and in this cast of playable classes that will allow you to repeat I. play as if it was a different person. On June 6, 2023, all hell breaks loose on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. And the Blizzard guys, as great as they are at taking care of releases with super polished code, are sticking to the announced dates. Next summer we’re pumped for demon slaying.

6.- Final Fantasy XVI

This franchise needs no introduction as it is a hugely popular saga with tons of games released. Square Enix has two new releases in the works, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth and the aforementioned action role set in a fantasy world. Although its first announcement talked about a PV Windows version, it was eventually scrapped and the game will only be available for PS5. It’s a shame given the disastrous situation in console distribution. It will arrive on June 22, 2023.

7.- Fire Emblem Engage

Another exclusivity, in this case for the Switch, will come from another of Nintendo’s most successful franchises, with two dozen titles behind it and which has not been renewed since Three Houses in 2019. The saga is distinctive – and has marked the way for many others – in the subgenre of tactical gaming role-playing (turn-based strategy and role-playing) in which the player controls his units/characters around the map to defeat enemies. It will be one of the first to arrive from this entire selection of video games for 2023, for the Nintendo Switch on January 20th.

8.- Spoken

Another one of those due to launch in 2022 that hasn’t arrived yet, but it will be very soon. Living in New York and suddenly ending up in an unknown world like Athia is the starting line for our protagonist Frey, who, thanks to her unique abilities to both explore the huge open world and fight thanks to the magical parkour system, must face many enemies and uncover the secrets of the world. Led by Square Enix, it will be available for Windows PC and PS5 on January 24th.

9.- Hogwarts heritage

One of the first big titles of the year arrives in February. It’s not the first in which the wizard Potter has appeared (and it won’t be the last), and he was far from the draw of the movies, let alone the books. From Avalanche Software (published by Warner Bros. Games), they promise to elevate everything known about the franchise with an action RPG set in the universe of the Harry Potter books, but developed in an immersive open world that – they say – allows you to create your own adventure for each player . Launching on February 10th for all major platforms, PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.

10.- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Another one that’s been delayed and awaited with huge anticipation (it won the title of “most anticipated” at the Game Awards 2022 and was nominated for it in 2020 and 2021) is Nintendo’s new Zelda, which will raise the level of the catalog available for the Switch. If the previous Breath of the Wild won all the awards and became one of the games that sell consoles by themselves, no less is expected from this Tears of the Kingdom, a direct continuation of the great action and adventure title. Its release date is scheduled for May 12, 2023 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

11.- Star field

We’re already a few years behind on this selection of video games for 2013, and here’s another one. And not just anyone, considering that we are talking about «space skyrim«. Bethesda says this next-gen role-playing game set among the stars is the first all-new universe they’ve created in 25 years, where any type of character can be created with unparalleled freedom. Big words for the creators of sagas like The Elder Scrolls or Fallout… Another long-awaited game that should be released this year.

12.- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars continues to give all kinds of content and of course video games. Set five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the game follows the story of Cal Kestis, now a powerful Jedi, on an epic new adventure to protect the galaxy and prevent a full invasion. in the dark . New planets and unique ecosystems will emerge; more bosses and villains like the mysterious Imperial Senator Pau’an, and a cinematic combat system with new styles. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is scheduled to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on March 17, 2023.

Remember. It is only a subjective choice of the video games of 2013 that we are most looking forward to. There will be many more and for other platforms like mobile. The gaming industry continues to grow in all areas and we expect a great year in the launch of its main attraction: games.
