TSMC said last year’s net revenue was a record $33.5 billion, up 70% from 2021 due to strong chip demand for 5G network equipment and personal computers.
At the same time, the company’s sales in 2022 increased by 42.6% compared to the previous year and reached approximately US$ 70 billion.
According to media reports, TSMC is considering establishing a second facility in Japan. At the same time, the construction of the first one needs to be completed as soon as possible, as the chip production on it is scheduled to begin in December 2024.
