The company, which has invested heavily in the OpenAI developer, will now use its technology to the fullest. Previously, it was known about the integration of the ChatGPT neural network into the Bing search engine and Microsoft’s main product – the Windows operating system.
Microsoft is experimenting with integrating OpenAI language artificial intelligence technology into Word, PowerPoint and Outlook applications. According to sources, the company has already added an unknown version of OpenAI’s text-generating GPT model, namely the autocomplete feature, to Word. But that’s just the beginning, because it looks like the integration will go much deeper.
The company already uses various types of artificial intelligence in its applications to increase productivity. Microsoft Teams uses AI to improve echoes, interrupts, and acoustics, and two years ago Microsoft developed automatic code completion using AI-powered GPT-3. Microsoft Editor also improves writing quality by using artificial intelligence for spelling, grammar, and predictive text checking.
