NVIDIA continues to work on the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, an upper mid-range graphics card that will hit the market between the first and second quarter of this year and which has already been leaked on previous occasions. Thanks to these leaks, we had important data about its possible specifications, as well as the consumption, which was set at 220 watts.

The fact is that, according to new information, NVIDIA would modify the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti to significantly reduce its consumption and I would set it to 160W. This is a massive increase in efficiency, as we’re talking a 60-watt reduction, a step that would put the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti even below the GeForce RTX 3060 in power consumption, as it peaks at 170 watts.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti would consume 10 watts less than the GeForce RTX 3060, but it would be much more powerful than it. The GeForce RTX 3060 performs slightly better in the wide stroke than the GeForce RTX 2070, while the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti It should be more or less at the level of the GeForce RTX 3080although it can beat it in ray tracing.

Also keep in mind that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will support DLSS 3 and generation of frames and that thanks to this technology it will offer performance at a higher level than other more powerful models of previous generations. That mere 160-watt TGP would mean that such a graphics card would only need an additional 8-pin power connector and play nicely with low-power supplies.

GeForce RTX 4060 Ti specifications

  • Graphics core AD106-350 in 5nm.
  • 4,352 shaders.
  • GPU at 2190MHz-2430MHz, normal and turbo mode.
  • 128 texturing units.
  • 128 tensor cores of the fourth generation.
  • 64 raster units.
  • 32 cores 3rd generation RT.
  • 128-bit bus.
  • 8 GB GDDR6 at 18 GHz (288 GB/s bandwidth).
  • 21.15 TFLOPs of performance in FP32.
  • 160W TGP. You will need a 500 watt power supply and an additional 8 pin power connector.

The price of this graphics card is still unknown, but we can make an estimate based on the base price of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. This has a minimum recommended price of 910 euros, which means that the GeForce RTX 4070 should be around 800 euros and the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti should be placed between 600 and 650 euros.
