One of the most important holidays of the year is approaching – Easter. Unfortunately, due to Russia’s war in Ukraine, not everyone will be able to celebrate the holiday in a family circle with family and friends. Many will receive greetings virtually via various messengers or email.

The State Special Communications Service warns that the enemy can use it to try new cyber attacks. As we have seen many times before, aggressive hackers often use current and sensitive topics that are the most “touching” for Ukrainians.

Be careful not to fall into the trap of cybercriminals.

Do not follow links from strangers. Do not open attachments sent in emails from unknown addresses. Although at first glance these may seem like ordinary greeting cards or holiday videos.

Beware of similar messages sent from acquaintances. Even your loved ones may not know that they are unintentionally distributing a malicious link or attachment. Or their accounts can be hacked by cybercriminals.

Do not spread questionable information from unknown sources.

Make sure your social media accounts are as secure as possible. Set up a two-step login check. This will protect you from trying to hack. Be wary of mail with promises of cash or other “vacation benefits.” Check for such information in official sources.

We will remind: the militia also urges believers to be especially vigilant when attending services on Easter – the enemy can arrange provocations. People are advised to avoid mass gatherings in religious buildings. Source
