The new Experimental Features feature for Windows 11 has been localized in the latest development builds. It will soon be available in a Dev version for Insiders testers and its general goal is to improve the quality of the software.
Microsoft needs to crack a vicious cycle of failed updates on their operating systems. Each of them solves bugs, but causes random ones that get on the nerves of the calmest. Take the last known problem as an example. How is it possible that a tool as essential as restore points has become the ‘enemy’ in the latest Windows 11 22H2 update, breaking both custom and third-party apps. Or that the same updates for Insiders have slowed down in the last few builds. They are an example of a large number of failures waiting to be solved. And it will certainly be fixed, but another one will arrive and we will continue in the same snowball.
Windows Insiders, the largest test channel that the Redmond firm ever had was a successful entry and over time it expanded into other software such as the Office suite. Microsoft introduced several “rings” that allowed users to try out previous versions of Windows at various stages of development. Users could learn in advance what was new in the system, and Microsoft took advantage of the testing and comments of the millions of users, developers and companies that participate.
Experimental feature for insiders
Microsoft announced changes for Windows Insiders, still maintaining the current three phases, Dev, Beta and Preview. The first is the one that accepts the least stable features and those without security that are finally implemented. However, it is very important because it allows you to work on long-term features, control features individually, release new features and experiments in stages, and test variations, which Microsoft calls “A/B testing.” The new experimental features for Windows 11 are in this vein.

It may be interesting to strengthen the tests, test features by more people and for a longer period of time, and once their quality and Insiders’ comments are monitored. decide whether to move them to the beta channel or drop them permanently. We are critical of Microsoft for failing to update, but we also recognize the difficulty of supporting such a gigantic ecosystem of hardware and software. Any program changes that improve the quality of Windows software in general are welcome.
If you want to cooperate, you can register on their website with a Microsoft ID account, or you can enter directly from Windows 11 (or Windows 10) using the tool Settings> Update and security> Windows Insider Program, follow the instructions and choose one of the channels.
