Meta promised not to block content about the Azov regiment and to unblock hundreds of accounts belonging to the Ukrainian military.

As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Telegram.

“We agreed on this at a meeting in Davos with Nick Clegg, the company’s head of global policy, and Monica Bickert, vice president of moderation policy,” Fedorov said.

He noted that Facebook and Instagram have become powerful tools to spread the truth about the war around the world.

Fedorov said that the team of the Ministry of Digitization is constantly communicating with the Meta company about cooperation. Hundreds of accounts of Ukrainian military, bloggers and activists have been unblocked.

“But the most pressing issue remained the blocking of photos and videos of the Azov regiment.” We thank Meta for the considered and important decision to change the moderation policy regarding Ukraine. “Thanks to this, millions of people around the world will learn about the achievements of the defenders of Mariupol, and Russian propaganda will lose its argument to blame the Ukrainian heroes,” said Fedorov.

As reported by Ukrinform, the state fundraising platform United24 will receive an updated website – United24 2.0.
