SAP company, one of the world’s leading software manufacturers, will provide 1,000 software licenses to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense for free.

As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Telegram.

“1,000 free licenses from SAP for Ministry of Defense software. We agreed with Christian Klein, the CEO of the company, on this issue,” Fedorov said.

SAP is the world’s best software maker. SAP products help implement innovation and systems approach in the military. Licenses are required for transparent procurement.

“Furthermore, Ukrainian customers will be able to use SAR software and cloud services free of charge throughout 2023,” Fedorov said.

The interlocutors also discussed further technological support.

Fedorov said, “Thanks to technology, Ukraine becomes fast and efficient. This is our competitive advantage against the Russians. Thanks to SAP for its consistent support to Ukraine, its participation in Diya.City and the digital blockade of the Russian Federation.”

On January 8, 2023, the company stopped providing IT services to the Russians. However, the Russian Federation still manages to circumvent sanctions on the use of the software. Fedorov emphasized that they will work with the company on this issue.

As reported by Ukrinform, the state fundraising platform United24 will receive an updated website – United24 2.0.
