The “Report Yourself” option has been available to various user groups over the past few months, and finally officially made available to everyone. While this feature is not revolutionary, it is very useful and allows you to store notes, bookmarks and other content that can be viewed on all connected devices.
Of course, the ability to add content to “Favorites” is already available in the popular Telegram messenger and other programs, but WhatsApp is still used by many more users. The function can help, for example, those who have an iPhone and a Windows computer at the same time – when they have WhatsApp, they do not need to install additional applications to exchange files or links between devices in different ecosystems.
We will remind you that a very useful feature has recently been added to WhatsApp messenger that will protect you from accidental deletion of messages. For example, if you clicked the “Delete for me” button instead of the “Delete for everyone” option, the novelty gives you 5 seconds to undo the action and revert the message, so you can do it right after.
Accidental Delete started testing in August 2022 with a small number of users participating in the beta program. Now it is slowly becoming available to all WhatsApp users. It is interesting that WhatsApp does not offer an option to cancel the deletion “For All”.
Some more useful features of WhatsApp
- The latest release of WhatsApp for iOS also mentions the ability to drag and drop images, videos and documents from apps like Safari, Photos and Files into the messenger.
- If you’ve changed your mind about deleting a particular message in Messenger, users can now deselect “delete for me” within seconds.
Smartphones where WhatsApp has stopped working
As of December 31, 2022, WhatsApp stopped working on 49 smartphone models, including:
- iPhone 5, iPhone 5c.
- Seven Samsung smartphones released in 2011, 2012 and 2013: Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, Samsung Galaxy Core, Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, Samsung Galaxy Trend II, Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite, Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2,
- All other smartphones with Android 4.3 or older version of the operating system. These are devices from HTC, Huawei, Lenovo, LG, Sony and other companies.
A device with at least iOS 12 or Android 5.0 (Lollipop) is required for WhatsApp to work further. However, of course, it is better to choose gadgets with the latest possible version of the operating system – so you will be able to use existing versions of applications for many years.
