Although the application has offered functionality where we can choose the quality of the photos we send to other people, WhatsApp hasn’t finished serving the maximum possible resolution on such files. Luckily, it looks like this will change very soon as we were able to find out thanks to our colleagues at Xataka Android.
It is true that there are already some ways to send this message in the highest resolution possible, but from now on it will be a much more accessible and simple setting. It will allow us to manually select the quality required by the user. It’s a change we’ve all been demanding for years.
Sending the highest quality, lifelike photos via WhatsApp
This change we just talked about It was discovered in version 2.23.2.11 of the latest beta version of WhatsApp on Android., and basically consists of a new setting that we will find at the top of the screen whenever we are going to post any image. When we click on this option, we can choose the quality we want to send that file at the bottom.
Of course, something to keep in mind, File sending limit still 2GB on WhatsApptherefore, some high resolution photos will still need to be sent compressed if we want the process to happen. This only affects really large filesbecause no matter how many megapixels the sensor is, the photos taken by our phones do not even come close to these numbers.
In short, it seems that we will finally be able to get one of the functions that WhatsApp users have been waiting for the most in recent years. An estimated date for its possible implementation is not yet known.but let’s hope it doesn’t take us too long to enjoy it soon on our Xiaomi phones.
