Apart from Brazil, Samsung Wallet will also be available in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. Gini Khan, head of the Mobile Experience Digital Wallet team at Samsung, says the company has been hard at work making the service more accessible. “When Samsung launched Samsung Wallet last year, we aimed to create experiences through open partnerships with our business and service providers, ensuring that as many people as possible can access the platform.”

Khan said Samsung will continue to work on making the service more accessible. In 2022, the company successfully launched the Samsung Wallet platform and expanded its services to 21 countries – Bahrain, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Norway, Oman, Qatar, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates, UK and USA. In total, Samsung Wallet is now available in 29 regions worldwide.

The purpose of the Samsung digital wallet is to offer the user a place that is safe from malware and other threats, protecting passwords and cards. In addition, the application works as a single repository, making life easier for users who can get lost among hundreds of different cards and passwords. So far, Samsung has not confirmed a specific date for the launch of the digital wallet in Brazil, but press release confirms that the app will be available by the end of January.
