Apple will differentiate the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max with curved screens

It’s clear that Apple has stepped up its commitment to distinguishing its iPhone Pro and Pro Max from the standard models, and it shows. this strategy will go further with the launch of iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Both terminals will hit the market in September this year and we know they will bring exclusive features that will differentiate them from the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

One of these exclusive features will be the new Apple A17 SoCa high-performance chip that will only be used in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, and which will undoubtedly be the biggest difference between them and the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, which it will again use the Apple A16 SoC present in the current generation (exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max). I still find this approach very curious, as it leaves the standard versions of its flagship smartphone a generation behind the Pro and Pro Max models.

We’ve also seen some rumors pointing to exclusive improvements to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max cameras, but that’s still up in the air and something that doesn’t hold much credibility yet. What is gaining strength is interesting escape which claims that Apple is going to use curved OLED panels in both terminals, a move that is clearly not new and actually makes me think of the Galaxy S6 Edge, a terminal that arrived in 2015 and already used a curved AMOLED panel.

While these types of screens aren’t new to the smartphone sector, it’s clear that integrating them into Apple’s new iPhones would be an important step forward in the race to differentiate the Pro and Pro Max models. i think it would mean a major cosmetic improvement which could attract the attention of more consumers.

I confirm that when we talk about a curved screen, we mean it slight curling at edges, that is, on the sides of the screen, which means that the rest of the screen will retain a flat surface. The source of the rumor also notes that the edges of the screen will be reduced and that there will be no changes to the Dynamic Island, which means that neither the front camera nor the Face ID interface will be integrated into the screen just yet.

It is said that standard models could also come with a curved OLED screen, but It’s something that doesn’t make sense because it would get too close to the iPhone 15 Pro, especially considering that the iPhone 15 will ditch the notch and use Dynamic Island. It is also important to consider that the use of such a panel will make the terminal more expensive.
