As part of the “Drone Army” project, 1,711 unmanned aerial vehicles were contracted, about 1,000 of which have already been delivered to the Ukrainian army, which is defending Ukraine.
As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Telegram.
“Now, the Drone Army has about 1000 “birds” on the front. A total of 1,711 UAV contracts have been signed. There are 1,056 unmanned aerial vehicles, of which 1,056 belong to Ukrainian manufacturers,” he said.
Fedorov added that at the moment, the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and the State Special Communications Service are analyzing the success of each type of UAV to create the most effective unmanned aerial vehicle army.
As reported, “Drone Army” is a project initiated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Digital Ministry. This is a comprehensive program in which the systematic purchase of drones, their repair and training courses for relevant specialists are planned. The project started on 1 July.
