The opening tournament League of Legends of Latin America (LLA) starts this January 24th Artz Pedregal Arena from Mexico. The championship is divided into several stages and the grand final will be held Chili.

The League of Legends event will feature eight teams coming from different countries such as Chile, Mexico, Argentina and Costa Rica. While they will all feature Latino talent, there are also Asian and European additions to the coaching staff and roster.

Teams that will play the tournament: Isurus, Estral Esports, Team Aze, Movistar R7, INFINITY, All Knights, Kings and Six Karma. And the winner will receive a direct pass to represent the region Mid-Season Invitational 2023 (MSI) in London, this is the event where the world’s best teams meet in the middle of the season.

LLA 2023 format and calendar

This year’s inaugural championship saw a schedule change and games will now be televised on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 4:00 PM on MX. 5:00 PM CO/PE/ECU. 19:00 ARG/CL.

The tournament has a different format. The regular season will be played in best-of-three duels for points. The best six in the group advance and the worst two remain. The first day will be held as follows:

– Six Karma vs. Kings – 6pm MX. 7 pm CO/PE/ECU. 9pm ARG/CL.

After the end of the regular phase, direct confrontations will begin in five matches in duels of the best. There, some of the losers will have a second option to stay in the tournament, and the top four in the group stage are two games away from reaching the final.
