OUR Motorola announced this Tuesday (24) its new smartphones from Moto G and the two main points are models Moto G73 and Moto G53.

With significant changes compared to its predecessors – Moto G72 this is Moto G52 -, one of the features of the new smartphones is 5G connectivity.

Moto G73

Motorola Moto G73 arrives with Size 930 gives MediaTech5G sub-6GHz modem – Moto G72 uses Helio G99 chipset – android 13 out of the box with My UX tweaks, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.

Its screen is a 6.5-inch 120Hz IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels (20:9). Like the previous model, the G73 has a 16-megapixel selfie camera built into the screen.

Speaking of the camera, on the back, the model has a 50MP sensor with fairly large 1.0µm pixels (2.0µm with 4-in-1 binning), an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 118° field of view and autofocus, which is also allows you to take macro photos.

5000mAh battery and 30W Motorola TurboPower 30 charger (included). Charging is via a USB-C 2.0 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack on the side, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The Moto G73 has a hybrid slot dual SIM, which means you can have a microSD slot or a second SIM. Other features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC. The phone is 8.3mm thick, weighs 181g, is made of plastic and has a water-repellent design.

Moto G53

The Moto G53 is powered by the Snapdragon 480+ chipset, has 5G support, and is available in 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage.

Continuation after commercial

Its screen is a 6.5-inch LCD with a resolution of just 720 x 1600 pixels (20:9) with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Unfortunately, this is bad news, as the previous model, the Moto G52, had a 6.6-inch 1080p 90Hz AMOLED screen.

The main camera on the back is 50MP and uses a smaller sensor with 0.64µm pixels (1.28µm with binning). It shoots 1080p video at 30fps rather than 60fps like the G73. It also has an 8 MP (118°) ultra-wide-angle camera, but no autofocus.

Its 5,000mAh battery with just 10W charging – thankfully, that will be boosted to 18W in the Latin American market. It has fingerprint sensors for security (as well as face unlock).

Just like the Moto G73, this model has a plastic body with a water-repellent finish, a USB-C 2.0 port and a 3.5mm jack on the bottom, and Dolby Atmos-enabled stereo speakers. It’s also a dual-SIM model with a hybrid slot, accepting up to 1TB microSD cards instead of a second SIM.

Prices and Availability

Two new Motorola models will enter the European market in the coming days. But both Moto G73 and Moto G53 will also appear in Latin America and Asia later.

The Moto G73 will retail for 300 euros (about R$1,680) in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Moto G53, on the other hand, is coming to the European market for €250 (around R$1,400) in a 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration, which is the only variant listed on Motorola’s official website at the moment.
