A large scale error has occurred in the operation of Microsoft services

Microsoft has announced a major outage to its services, including Teams and Outlook.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Reuters.

“We have identified a potential network issue and are reviewing telemetry to determine next troubleshooting steps,” the company said.

Microsoft did not disclose the number of users affected by the outage, but data from the Downdetector website showed that there were more than 3,900 incidents in India and more than 900 in Japan.

Outages were also reported in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

In addition, problems with the operation of a number of services were observed among users in Ukraine.

During the outage, most users were unable to text, join calls, or use any of the Teams features.

Other affected services include Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.

As you know, Microsoft Teams is the hub of teamwork in Microsoft Office 365, bringing together the users, content and tools necessary for more effective work.

The app combines in a collaborative working environment that includes chat, file sharing and enterprise applications for meetings. Designed for smartphones running Android, iOS, Windows Phone platforms and computers with Windows 10 S, Windows 7 and above, or Mac OS X 10.10 and above.

Microsoft Teams competes with services like Slack and is an evolutionary upgrade from Microsoft’s version of Skype for Business.
