Electric bike manufacturer Zehus introduced in early 2023 The Bike+ kit that can turn a conventional bike into an electric one.. The kit does not require recharging to work, which makes life easier for the cyclist while pedaling.
According to Zehus, the Bike+ kit recharges the battery during deceleration and braking. Therefore, the cyclist does not need to pedal manually to charge the battery. Even when charging while braking, the Bike+ kit also has a power outlet charging input.

The company states that this will be necessary if the user chooses to use turbo mode, with an autonomy of 35 km and a top speed of 25 km/h. The bike to electric bike conversion kit comes with 5 electric assistance modes, two of which can be customized by the rider.
250W Bike+ Kit
The Bike+ kit has 250W of power and 40Nm of torque, a 50% increase over the previous generation of the company’s device. The system is also equipped with GPS, allowing the user to know exactly where his bike is. The idea of a bike is very interesting, and at CES 2023 the company revealed that it is collaborating with more than 30 companies to convert regular bikes to e-bikes.

The device needs to be purchased separately and installed on compatible bikes, so partnering with different companies is important for the Italian company to be able to expand the availability of its product. On the official website, Zehus reveals which manufacturers offer bikes with the system created by the company, which include brands such as Vello Bike, Jitensha, Humming Bird and Zash.
In any case, the price of a Bicycle+ is quite high and can be considered out of reach for the vast majority of people. During CES 2023, the company unveiled a kit-installed bike for $2,600, equivalent to R$13,220 in direct conversion.
