Last year, there were rumors that the iPhone 13 will support satellite communications. This did not happen, and now everyone is waiting for the future iPhone 14 to have such a feature for emergency calls or sending text messages to emergency contacts outside the network. The new Apple Watch will reportedly have similar functionality.

This follows a new report from Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman. He says a satellite clock could launch in 2023, if not 2022.

According to Gurman, there are indications that Apple and its satellite partner Globalstar Inc. reached an agreement to purchase 17 new satellites to help provide uninterrupted satellite services. It is alleged that the apple company may have paid hundreds of millions of dollars for this.
