ANKARA (IGFA) – In a written statement, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu noted that the corporate Cyber ​​​​​​Incidents Response Team (SOME) was established in 2013 and that 2,125 people work within SOME.

Karaismailoğlu noted that the SOME Communication Platform (SIP) has been developed to share alarm, alert and security notifications between the National Cyber ​​​​​​Incidents Response Center (USOM) and SOMEs, saying that with the increasing number of users on the Internet , malicious acts and hacking increased, and digital He underlined that the attacks were carried out on an institutional, systematic and supranational level.

ANNOUNCED THE 6-YEAR ISSUE

Minister Karaismailoğlu explained the number of cyber-attacks and announced that a total of 138 thousand 445 cyber-attacks will be prevented by 2022.

Karaismailoğlu stated that the number of blocked cyber-attacks has reached 664 thousand 263 in the past 6 years and said, “In 2022, access was blocked for 72 thousand 226 malicious connections detected under USOM investigations. In addition, 14,833 cybersecurity reports were made this year to take measures against institutions and organizations. “The attacks have occurred as distributed denial-of-service (DDoS), phishing and operator spam.”

Emphasizing that they have taken serious precautions in cyber security, Minister Karaismailoğlu said in a written statement: “With the Cyber ​​​​​​Security Operations Center, the installation of which has been completed within the Information Technologies and Communications Authority, the work and the transactions between the USOM and the operators can be monitored continuously 24/7, and actions can be taken if necessary without loss of time. We also ensure our security at our cyber gates, such as our border gates, with domestic and national practices. Security at the cyber gates is just as important as our border gates,” he said.
