Mitsubishi Electric met the young people at the IoT Line Fair’22 event, where the technologies of the future were discussed.

Technology giant Mitsubishi Electric attended the IoT Line Fair’22 event to keep up with the pulse of IoT technology in industry and academia. At the event organized by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Student Branch of Istanbul Technical University, the young people gathered. Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation Systems Product Management and Marketing Unit Manager Tolga Bizel, during the session “Digital Transformation of Factories and Artificial Intelligence” He spoke about the technologies of the future.

By integrating artificial intelligence technologies that shape the future into the current production concept, Mitsubishi Electric continues to come together with young talents to develop digital solutions. By participating in the IoT Line Fair’22 event, organized by the Istanbul Technical University IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Student Branch at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on the Ayazağa Campus, the company shed light on the change that technologies such as the internet of things and artificial intelligence have created in both society and industry.

Digital transformation is changing both life and industry

Speaking during the session “Digital transformation of factories and artificial intelligence” Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation Systems Product Management and Marketing Unit Manager Tolga Bizel, He said that when digitization is mentioned, complex infrastructures and processes come to mind, and this transformation manifests itself in every aspect of life, he made the following statements: “For example, the journey of Turkish coffee crossed first with the embers, then with the coffee pot and then with the machines. Just like Turkish coffee, the transformation in the industry takes on a different shell at certain moments with its own internal dynamics. We; While talking about hydro and steam power in the first revolution of the industry, we have we are talking about mass production, assembly line, electric power in the second revolution, computer and automation in the third revolution, and cyberphysics systems in the fourth revolution. While in the past we used the Silk Road for trade, today we prefer global digital trade routes. This means: This transformation, experienced in all areas of life, brings not only industry, but also life to digital. New technologies dominate every aspect of our lives and create a new reality, and transformation independent of this reality does not seem possible.”

Manufacturing in line with changing consumer habits with artificial intelligence

Tolga Bizel stated that they can quickly respond to the needs of consumers by using artificial intelligence technologies in their factories, Tolga Bizel said: “For example, personalized production is performed at our Nagoya Works-Kani factory in Japan, a factory structure that ensures that cellular production. Depending on consumer preference, which cells should come together, those cells come together and the production takes place through analysis. In addition, thanks to artificial intelligence, we keep the data needed in the production in-house by ensure the security of the factory’s working data, and by eliminating the cost of using the cloud system anywhere in the world, we also reduce the cost of reaching the product the consumer wants.”

Bizel added that the technologies of the future that will change the world are closer than we think, adding that the digital twin simulation, bringing real life to digital, is vital for customizable production lines, and that technologies such as digital transformation technologies, artificial intelligence, internet of things, big data, autonomous systems and cybersecurity will also strengthen the power of companies.” He concluded his speech by saying that
