They often offer music streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music to their users an interesting summary of the music they listened to for the year when it comes to an end. Last year, at the beginning of December, both services already offered this summary, as we told you here, where we also explained how to access these personalized compilations that allow us to restore certain moments of the year, due to the habit of many people from associated songs and records to specific events.
It happens, yes, it does usually these types of lists are ephemeral. They have a very specific time to “use up” and then they are lost, as Rutger Hauer said, like tears in the rain. And I agree they aren’t as impressive as seeing the burning ships attacking behind the Orion or the C-beams glowing in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate, but on a personal level, many would appreciate a longer experience in time, whatever the route.
And the good news is that with the service of those from Cupertino it is possible because Apple Music already offers you access to your Replay 2023. Yes, we’re not even through the first month of the year, and yet we’re already talking about the annual summary. And no, Apple doesn’t have a crystal ball where it can see what songs you’ll be listening to for the rest of the year to show you right away (which, on the other hand, could be a very interesting exercise in self-fulfilling prophecy, meaning we’d did they listen because it puts them on the list and makes sense?). No, it’s actually much simpler.
What will happen is that from today Apple Music updates our Replay 2023 every week, and thus offers us a continuation of the most played songs of the year with the progress of 2023. So you will not have to wait until the end of the year to see which songs you listened to the most. Every week you will have access to an updated version that will contain the hundred songs that you have listened to the most from the beginning of the year until now. That means once you reach December, the surprise factor is lost, yes, but if you prefer it that way, it’s enough to get you through your playlist until the end of the year.
If you’ve already been listening to a lot of music during January, you’ll be able to see the playlist in the Apple Music client, but if not, it probably won’t appear yet. However yes, you can consult it through the web interface of the service. To do this, go to music.apple.com/es/replay from your browser and you’ll see the songs you’ve listened to the most on Apple Music in the last few weeks.
