Acer wants to launch its own line of AMD Radeon graphics cards

Acer is one of the most important OEMs in the PC and notebook sector, but for some time now it has been making small strategic moves that clearly show its interest in the graphics card sector. I’m sure some of our readers will recall the launch of the two A770 16GB Predator BiFrost and A380 Predator graphics cards that the Taiwanese company recently released to the general consumer market, and it seems that the giant wants to go further in this market.

New information suggests that Acer wants launches its own line of AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics cardsAlthough it has not yet been specified which models will form the basis of this new product line. Since the Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX have been available for some time now, it is said that the company could wait for the arrival of the high-end and mid-high-end models with a big step. If confirmed, Acer’s new line of graphics cards would primarily consist of the Radeon RX 7800 and RX 7700.

Acer Arc

Given Acer’s experience in making graphics cards for its PCs, this move is a natural one, although it’s clear The graphics card industry is one of the most competitive that exist today and that it will not be easy for you to make your way in it. The first step focused on Intel’s Arc Alchemist graphics solutions, and the Taiwanese company’s second step represents a commitment to AMD’s Radeons.

We don’t know what’s next, but it seems to be Acer for now doesn’t plan to launch with NVIDIA’s own line of graphics cards. That’s not to say we won’t see Acer selling its own GeForce RTX, but that it’s just something it’s not considering in the short to medium term. If things go well with AMD Radeons, there is nothing stopping the Taiwanese company from taking the third step and launching NVIDIA graphics cards.

The entry of new builders into the general consumer graphics card market is always good for consumers, as it means more competition, which ultimately translates into better products and more competitive prices. We still don’t have an exact launch date for the Acer Radeon RX, but given everything we’ve been told so far, it’s possible that it won’t happen until after the Radeon RX 7800 and RX 7700 arrive.
