Business Insider sources in senior management, who recently left the company, state that Zuckerberg has focused on the Metaverse as much as possible, and has actually “become the only topic Mark is ready to talk about.”
According to them, the company thinks a lot about new features and actively “encourages” the teams involved in creating a metaverse. However, many employees still have no idea about a specific action plan.
Company worried about irregularity
According to Business Insider sources, “disorder and anxiety” is developing at the company. This is because people don’t know what to work on because there is still no coherent strategy. The company is reportedly “going through a decisive period,” but so far many questions have remained unanswered, despite the enthusiasm of many employees.
Last year, Facebook was renamed Meta, at least not to indicate a shift in the company’s focus on creating a metaverse. The company spent $10 billion last year on its Reality Labs division, which has been busy building a metaverse and plans to spend at least this year.
It’s worth noting that Zuckerberg said the metaverse is a long-term project and will be developed over decades, if not longer.
