Over the past year, more than 2,000 Russian cyber-attacks have been officially registered in Ukraine on records of citizens’ personal data and on information systems of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the energy sector.
According to Ukrinform, this was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov in an interview with Radio Liberty.
“If we are talking about officially recorded attacks, then more than two thousand a year (after February 24, 2022 – ed.). But in reality, a cyber war occurs when many information systems are attacked. And these attacks are not constant, but they happen. So it is very “We can talk about more attacks,” he said.
According to Fedorov, the Russians are trying to break into the records or information systems in which the personal data of citizens are stored. At the same time, the energy field and information systems of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense are under attack.
The Minister also noted that after February 24, hundreds of cyberattacks on the “Diya” relationship were recorded. According to him, the application does not store personal data. Therefore, according to him, the “Action” architecture is perfectly built for wartime, and it is quite difficult to attack it.
“For 3-4 months before the invasion, our own hacker team attacked us 24/7 and we were able to prevent many sensitive cyber attacks on the energy sector, government portals and government services,” Fedorov said.
As reported, according to Canadian intelligence, Russia will try to use hackers to harm Ukraine’s allies in cyberspace.
