The biggest tech companies may be going through relatively tough times, but the 25th edition of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies star list shows that the giants’ peers respect them more than ever before. Apple ranks first for the 16th consecutive year in our annual corporate reputation rankings, based on a survey of nearly 3,700 corporate executives, directors, and analysts.
In second place are Amazon and Microsoft. JPMorgan Chase (#5) achieved its highest ranking ever, while Morgan Stanley entered the top 50.
Elsewhere, Costco Wholesale (No. 7) rose in terms of shipments in its industry. As the network struggled to reach its best-ever ranking, Netflix fell from 9th to 29th as fierce competition eroded its historic streaming dominance.
