Our readers speak: What do you think of the Galaxy S23?

Last Wednesday, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S23, a new generation of smartphones that we already knew quite well because so much was leaked about them that eventually we were very clear about what to expect. So much so that, essentially, a week before its introduction, even prices in Spain were leaking, pointing to growth, which was finally confirmed.

With a post-launch hangover, today we want to give you a voice to tell us what do you think of the Galaxy S23?. Lots of interesting stuff to comment on, so the comments are all yours, although I want to be the first to weigh in with an opinion as usual before I finish.

In terms of design, I like the change to the rear island that Samsung introduced on the Galaxy S23 and S23+, as it gives them a cleaner and more uniform finish. Unfortunately, that’s the only major changeso, on a general level, we find a clear continuity that other giants, such as Apple, eventually sinned against with their new terminals.

Few design changes, but the most important is inside. The most interesting innovation that the Galaxy S23 and S23+ brings is undoubtedly the jump to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 “Galaxy” SoC., a special chip that comes with a small performance boost over the standard model, and which is a significant jump from the previous generation Exynos 2200. Nothing else to highlight, at least on paper.

In the case of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, we have a major improvement to the rear camera, as this model integrates a new generation 200MP sensor that far surpasses the 108MP present in the Galaxy S22 Ultra. In other aspects, neither the front camera nor the basic RAM configuration changes.

With all that said, I think you can intuitively understand my point. Galaxy S23 placed on their merits at the top of the sectorare premium terminals in their own right and undoubtedly offer an excellent level of functionality, but it sins by excessive continuity on all frontsand really only justify a change in generation and nomenclature due to the use of a new SoC. As for the price, I guess exaggerated, though in keeping with it which we have been seeing in the sector lately. Now it’s your turn, the comments are yours.
